Cape Clawless Otter

Center Street: Cape Clawless Otter. January 16, 2018. I believe this is the last individual of this species outside of Africa.

Lucky you! I only managed to see its head over a log. The body was hidden and the otter had no intention of move. And much worst: the spotted-necked otters didn't ever appear in none of the many times that I passed by their exhibit. Well, maybe some year at Valencia I fill this gap...

@Kakapo I'm sorry to hear you missed so many species on your visit! I was very happy to see this guy, as well as the Spotted-Necked Otters. On my visit they had them both in the Children's Zoo and Lost Forest. Both species were lifers for me and were the final two of the six otter species I saw on my trip!
