@Wyman For one, it should be mentioned that Harapan was moved next door to the left for the remainder of his time at the zoo. The Sumatran rhino that occupied this exhibit, his sister Suci, was succeded by Capybaras and crested screamers... three years ago Two years ago, after Harapan's departure in 2015, he was replaced with Walter the warthog the next spring - which is no longer in that exhibit. Wildlife Canyon is on it's way to be overhauled. I'll refrain from saying why.

@Wyman I forgot to mention that there were rumors of what would replace Harapan. First it was a giant anteater. Then more surprisingly a pygmy hippo. Then it was confirmed that a Baird's tapir from the Sedgwick County Zoo was on his way over to occupy the exhibit. Unfortunately before the transfer, he passed.
