Does anyone know when these paddocks were built? Are they original 1955 enclosures from when the Tierpark opened? One nice thing is that there is no obstruction (cables, wires, fences) from seeing elephants but the "concrete brutalism" is not aesthetically pleasant.
I'd rather have the fences myself, even though I quite like a bit of concrete brutalism. The pachyderm house is in line for redevelopment, but I'm not sure how or when exactly.
