aka Black-winged lovebird, Agapornis taranta. Adult male, with rather ragged plumage as the pair fledged a chick recently; the species is said to nest early, so I guess he will start moulting soon.
@ThylacineAlive They were given a colony of Nyasa lovebirds by a breeder who was retiring - unfortunately I couldn't get a decent photo of them. They also received a female Abyssinian, and eventually managed to find this male to pair with her. I don't recall seeing either species before.
