Conolophus subcristatus. Taken just outside the airport on Baltra Island on March 26, 2018.
I didn't know there are wild Land Iguanas on Baltra. I've seen them in capivity in the Charles Darwin Centre, but a wild one tops it.

I luckily knew to look for them, despite the fact a friend who’s visited said he hadn’t seen any. I negotiated a window seat on the plane in and saw two from it- they like to bask on the runway. I was delighted to see this individual while walking into customs from outside, despite the fact I got separated from my group while taking its photo! I found it interesting that the wild individuals I saw were very dark yellow/grey, though the captive individuals at CDRS were orange.

@ThylacineAlive no, I do not think there are subspecies of this species but regardless they would both come from the same genetic material. The land iguana was extirpated from Baltra during/shortly after WWII, but prior to that some of the iguanas had been introduced from Baltra to North Seymour. The Charles Darwin Research Station captured some of the introduced lizards for their breeding stock, some of which has been released back onto Baltra very successfully.
