Very different! Are these youngsters that will be moved to outside exhibits once they've grown big enough?

I suspect there is a middle step behind the scenes before they can be in the main outdoor exhibit, this tank is not large enough for much more growth!

The alligators, both young and the ones in the lagoon exhibit, are all on loan from a local alligator farm. When the young get too big, a couple are accessioned into the collection to use as education animals while the rest are sent back and a new batch of small ones is sent. Same thing for the larger lagoon alligators, although of course it's many years before they get too big.
