@Wyman I don't quite know anything about it. I don't believe the zoo even announced it. I'll honestly say that I think her absence benefitted Duke. She took advantage of his blindness and constantly picked on and picked at him.
@Moebelle I'm glad that Duke is living out the rest of his days in relative peace! By the way, I read in a recent interview on Zoophoria that the Cincinnati Zoo wanted to build a new facility for elephants from scratch. What do you think would be a possible location? The Safari Camp area? The current Rhino Reserve?
@Wyman I don't quite know if that's true or not but it would have to be the Safari Parking lot, which would be the wise choice. The rhino reserve space is even smaller than the current elephant reserve. Rhino reserve is well put together and complete and won't be going anywhere for a very long time.
