No I do not think they have tree shrews any more. I've not noticed them but the ones to ask would be those who visit far more often. I can't even tell you where they were in Indo Malaya.
I think so. Although, not all of the exhibits near the orangutans are hard to see... they're certainly easy to miss, though... I always take my time to pay attention to those exhibits; they're some of my favorite exhibits in the Indomalaya pavilion.
