This morning I left early to visit Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, which opens at 7:30am. It is located in Tucson Mountain Park (a county managed natural park that adjoins the federally managed Saguaro National Park). On the road up (Gates Pass Road) I saw a mule deer crossing the highway. Thankfully no cars were behind me as there is no pullout at this spot and it is only one lane each direction. The deer went back up the hillside and joined another one and I managed to pull my camera bag to the front seat and get a couple shots out the window.
