@Gigit Do you know where this individual came from? For his name, I'm considering the possibility that he came from the andean bear reproductive group in the zoo of Salvador, brazilian state of Bahia.
@Onychorhynchus coronatus I've only seen the word Bahia written this way when reffering to the state, and I know the zoo of Salvador, in Bahia, has a big historic of reproduction of these animals. Who knows... maybe some of her ancestors came from there...
@David Matos Mendes I have no idea, but it would be interesting to find out what the origin of it is as it isn't a Hispanic sounding or Andean indigenous name that is often given to these animals in some zoos and spectacled bears are not native to Brazil so...yes, it is strange.
