Chimps in new enclosure

Were these taken around the time of the talk yesterday? I popped in a bit later hoping to catch them with a new lens i'd just bought. Unlucky for me, they seemed content inside. Stupid of me, I bought the wrong lens which didn't work on my camera, so I had to return to Nottingham rather than wait to see if they came out again.

I didn't know there was a talk. I'd have gone to it if I'd have known. :( When was it?

I got to the zoo for just after 10am and, apart from peering into a few windows and a quick visit to the gorillas along the way, we went straight to the chimps, getting there for just before 10.30. At that point they were all shut in the one half of the house.

According to the EXIF data for this photo, I took it at 10.57. The chimps would have been let out less than a minute earlier as they all made their way out pretty quickly. The food on the ground most likely encouraged them.

I didn't return to the enclosure later on as it was getting pretty busy.

We left the zoo at around 2.30.

Ohhh. I may have caught the very end of it then. The lady in the blue polo shirt on the outdoor viewing platform? I thought it was just a keeper casually chatting to a visitor.

Hopefully next time then.

Thanks.
