Am I right in thinking the building on the left housing the exhibition is in fact the early Mammal/Ape House?- it looks familiar to me. Or was that through the archway...
I've had a look through my collection of guide books from my first visit to Jersey and this building isn't signed as anything until it housed the exhibition. There are small rooms inside - it doesn't seem like an former animal house. As well as the manor house through the arch, there are some small buildings one of which contains viewable Aye-ayes (two of them did on my previous visit).
