Shoebill

The aviary has been re-landscaped to better mimic the dense swamps the birds are found in the wild. Very nicely done. Great to see another iconic species returning. First Spix and Lears, now Shoebills... I wonder what will be next...
Fantastic! And finally housed in an aviary where they don't need to be wing clipped. Lots more birds to be imported over the next year - they're building new holding cages to cope.

Which aviary is this? Great to have them enclosed! Are there any other species with them?

They are by themselves for now, to adjust to the new environment. i was told they will be joined by Hammerkops, Abdim's Storks (new to JBP) and a few ducks
