jayjds2 21 Jun 2018 With the passing of San Diego's elderly pair, I believe this is the last individual of its species present in the US.

jayjds2 17 Jul 2018 Not sure. I hadn’t heard of Albuquerque ever having any, and they aren’t listed on ZIMS for any spider monkey species.

Coelacanth18 17 Jul 2018 Here on this species list they are listed as having "variegated spider monkey", which is another term for the species: https://www.bioparksociety.org/main/biopark-parent-animal-list/ They are also listed as having spider monkeys (not species-specific) on their 2015 zoo map and on Wikipedia, among other sources. That all being said, I've never been there so I can't say if they're still present or not.
