Yellow-headed Blackbird (Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus)

Unsigned at Weltvogelpark Walsrode in the first of the "Hinter den Kulissen" aviaries.
Yellow-hooded and Yellow-headed are the same bird I believe, Xanthocephalus xanthocephalus.

@Great Argus Fair enough then :) I'm used to seeing Yellow-Hooded in captivity and have never seen Yellow-Headed.

I see this aviary is listed as being off-exhibit so @korhoen did you go bts or are these aviaries visible from a pathway?

~Thylo

@ThylacineAlive These aviaries are not bts and visible from a pathway. The area is called "Hinter den Kulissen" (Behind the Scenes) because you can view (from a distance) some of the breeding aviaries of the park and there are signs highlighting the conservation work they do.

Thanks a lot for the help guys! Yellow-headed blackbird is currently not listed by Ztl as being kept anywhere in Europe at the moment, so this is another unique (to Europe) species for Walsrode.:D

@ThylacineAlive You basically can't miss them. There is a large sign pinpointing the path that leads to them. It is approximately half way between the parrot house and the lorikeet/toucanet house. White-winged trumpeters and Guyana toucanets, among others, are in this row of aviaries as well.
