Polk Penguin Conservation Center

July 18th, 2018.
One thing that I do not like about this new, $30 million penguin exhibit is the sight-line across the large pool. This photo was taken first thing in the morning but later in the afternoon I went through the chilly building again (to help keep cool!) and there was a huge group of at least 50 people all looking back across the habitat from the other viewing window. It's a little odd and something that I wish the designers had omitted with a more curved exhibit. Besides these two huge windows, there are two tunnels and an even larger window into the 25-foot pool all below ground.
