Mexican Opossum

Small Mammal House: Mexican Opossum, D. m. caucae. June 2, 2018. Not my best photo but it's of a real odd taxa and I was urged to post it so enjoy :p

What time of day did you see it? Was it active at all? I'm planning to hopefully see this animal next weekend.

Well considering Thylo managed to be around 2 hours late :p, I’d say this was late afternoon. It didn’t do much but maybe turned around.

Personally, the only time I’ve seen any significant amount of activity from this animal was right as the small mammal house opened (9am). I’d try that if I were you, but don’t get your hopes up.

@jayjds2 It's not my fault my flight got delayed over and hour! :p

I was expecting it to only see a ball of fur so was quite pleased when it woke up and moved about a bit in its nest box.
