I think this map must be around 1984 or 1985. The black line and bottom half of the page is a new 'walking safari' area developed after the Louwmans sold the site to the South Holland Province and gave up their directorships in the early eighties. Funds were pumped in, but it did not work and the zoo closed soon after. As a tourist, I visited both before and after this saga. The Louwmans bought the site back, and it has been famously 'mothballed' since, and is a very odd place to visit, which I have been lucky enough to do a few timers. Melancholy and sad...
