Housing various species from South East Asian freshwater areas.
In 2014, Vissenbjerg completely rebuilt its entrance hall, turning it into a tiny tropical house dubbed "the rainforest". Despite the limited area, it's a very well-done house. There's a good selection of free-ranging animals as well as three minor exhibits.
A neat feature of the signs is that they mention how difficult the species are to find. There are four "color codes" depending on the difficulty: Green is easiest, yellow is harder than green, orange is harder than yellow, and red is the hardest.

- Vietnamese pond turtle: Yellow
- Iridescent shark: Orange
- Three-spot gourami: Red
I also saw walking catfish and Gibbiceps catfish in the pond, but those weren't signed.

Terrariet Vissenbjerg is one of only two reptile zoos in Denmark, the other one being Krokodille Zoo. The two reptile zoos supplement each other well, as Krokodille Zoo chiefly focuses on crocodilians with relatively few species of other reptiles, while Terrariet Vissenbjerg has loads of lizards, snakes and tortoises, but only one species of crocodilian. Beyond the reptiles, Vissenbjerg also keeps a handful of different mammals, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, as well as one species of bird.
Terrariet Vissenbjerg is located in the outskirts of the Funen town also called Vissenbjerg. If you have your own car, it can easily be combined on a day trip with Frydenlund Fuglepark which is only 15 minutes' drive away.
