I already knew about this exhibit before seeing this particular photo, but it certainly appears to be an extraordinary animal enclosure. I'm personally not a fan at all but I'd be interested to read other opinions....
Haven't seen this enclosure in person, but the whole temple theme is very over the top. Seems like they got their inspiration from the Jungle Book. It certainly looks like a good Orangutan enclosure, but I feel that the temple hinders the exhibit and does very little to educate visitors about the threats they are facing in the wild.
It is most certainly an extraordinary enclosure and it is extremely well executed. I am not the biggest fan of theming, but everything in there is real and thought through. I actually quite like it, even though half of my brain screams that everything is just wrong.
Probably the biggest overspend (in my opinion) I had ever seen on a zoo, I hardly could believe all was real marble . Is a private park and the owner is totally free to spend his money in whatever he wants of course, but everything was so pharaonic... I also found a bit "weird" to see money boxes asking for support for conservation when five minutes earlier I had been walking between some of the biggest geodes I had ever saw...
