Home to a large breeding group. Part of the "Chile aviary" which is home to Humboldt penguins, Chilean flamingos and a number of other bird species that can freely choose where they wish to roam.

Full species list for the Chilean aviary:
- Humboldt penguin (Spheniscus humboldti)
- Chilean flamingo (Phoenicopterus chilensis)
- Scarlet ibis (Eudocimus ruber)
- Black-necked stilt (Himantopus mexicanus)
- Magellanic flightless steamer duck or Fuegian steamer duck (Tachyeres pteneres)
- Black-necked swan (Cygnus melanocoryphus)
- Black-bellied whistling duck (Dendrocygna autumnalis)
- Inca tern (Larosterna inca)
- Black-faced ibis (Theristicus melanopis)

The scarlet ibis certainly is. From what I read during some quick research the Inca tern actually does occur on Chile's coast.

That said, I guess the theme of the aviary might be a bit more of general South America rather than Chile specifically.
