Løvbakke Dyrehave - Exhibition

A building outside the deer garden has a small exhibition on animals and plants in the woods. It's aimed at kindergarteners and primary school students, so don't expect to learn much.

Løvbakke Dyrehave is yet another of many "dyrehaver" ("deer gardens") in Denmark - fenced-in nature areas with free-ranging fallow deer and/or red deer.

This one is located near the town of Herning and is relatively new, opened in 2013. Area-wise, it's a medium-sized deer garden. The "collection" consists of about 50 fallow deer which originally lived in a now-closed deer garden by Silkeborg.

While it's not the best place to observe deer - they're relatively shy and has tons of places to hide - it nonetheless seems to be a very popular place for a walk in nature.

September 2018.
