The lady in the photo had sent her husband to find a keeper and was trying to hold back the birds the single gate (rather than the double gates normally found on aviary's is well down the path.
In fact we had rounded up the birds and walked through the display before a keeper turned up. A first for me at any zoo I have visited, rounding up escapees!
