DesertRhino150 8 Oct 2018 European perch Perca fluviatilis, I would say. There are apparently only seven species of freshwater fish (only one native) in the Azores, so I doubt there is much chance of confusion.

K K Kifaru Bwana 22 Apr 2021 @DesertRhino150, really care to mention which species? Any endemisms like killifish or something?
DesertRhino150 22 Apr 2021 @Kifaru Bwana No endemisms in the Azores - the only native species that occurs in freshwater is the European eel. The other six introduced species are the European perch, common carp, Northern pike, rainbow trout, roach and zander. This information is all taken from Fishbase.
