For the most part this is a large, fairly nice exhibit but the major downside is that there are a lot of bears that are rotated throughout the space. I have no idea how large the off-show areas are for the grizzlies.
Of course for the visitor experience it is a plus because the on-show bears are always active (due to frequent rotation). But you make a good point about their life off-exhibit. They are planning to add a second yard to the right of this yard (photos in gallery).
@snowleopard there kinda large. But after the Riparian exhibit is done the bear dens are gonna get a facelift and the new bear den will be huge. Also I think the bears will have a behind the scenes yard after the Riparian exhibit is completed.
