Nice picture, there were a pair of Kagus in March, 2008. Are they still both there ? The animal collection at the menagerie is great, despite the fact that the menagerie is a national heritage site and may not be greatly altered. So some exhibits are outdated by today´s standards. The grand gallery of evolution museum next door at the jardin des plantes is amazing and has a hall of extinct and near extinct mounted animals that is worth seeing.
I visites La Ménagerie in summer 2009 and they're both alive (but unfortunately, both are females!), and they was alive. I suppose that they continue alive. In fact, the Kagus was the almost only thing that made me choose France as my holiday site in 2009. The museum near the zoo is really amazing, I remember to saw some fantastic species such as Galbula dea (paradise jacamar), but I don't taked photos inside, I just used all my battery in the zoo and the botanical garden (they have a really really great plant collection in no much space!)
