Honestly...is the boat ride worth taking or is it generally a waste of time? I'm not a huge fan of rides in zoos as I prefer to see everything on my own two feet...but I bet that my 4 kids would adore the opportunity to ride a boat inside a zoo!
@snowleopard It's worth taking if you are a Disney fan or if you would like different angles of the exhibits in order to catch a sleeping lion in an alcove. Otherwise the paths are perfectly suitable.
@snowleopard@Wyman I loved the boat ride and went on it twice, but to see the animals I would say that you most of the time get closer and better angles over most of the enclosures from the paths.
For me that is mostly interested in birds the boat ride gave me a closer looks at the Egyptian geese, wood ducks, yellow-billed ducks, cattle egrets, cranes etc that might be harder to see from the path,
I would say that it is definitely worth taking a ride!
