I think it's a blue-eyed cockatoo (Cacatua ophthalmica).

Wrong, WhistlinKite24 had the correct ID. It's Cacatua alba, not ophthalmica

I would like to thank everyone for the useful information on the identification of the species I requested from Birmingham botanical gardens unfortunately they seem to have forgotten to put signage on the exhibits for most of the birds and the one exhibit they did have signage on that was a little out dated as most of the species have left the collection
