lintworm 21 Nov 2018 It is quite likely that the Sciurus lis kept in the Netherlands are just a color morph of Eurasian red squirrel.... This one is a bit extreme, but even the more normal colored S. lis in the Netherlands don't really look like a real S. lis.

Giant Eland 21 Nov 2018 @lintworm Oh well, can never trust zoo signs too much these days. At least I can know I've seen actual S. lis in Japan earlier this year haha. @snowleopard Indeed! Their squirrel collection is fantastic! I'd say no more than an hour is necessary to spend here.
