Mammal & Toucan Enclosure

Is this the entire enclosure for those 4 species? Is half of the floor just plain cement?

Yes, you can actually see all but the agouti in this photo. The two porcupines are on the middle section of the roof, the toucan is obvious, and the tamandua was running around at that moment but I think it's on the metal feeding attached to the wall. Part of it is cement, yes.

@snowleopard I can't help but compare this to the mix exhibit at the Buffalo zoo (toucan, southern tamandua, saki monkey, armadillo, and at one time two toed sloth). That exhibit has two levels and natural substrate on the ground. It's a shame Buffalo Zoo's current tamandua pair never took to the exhibit as the tamandua before them used that mesh to his advantage!

@snowleopard I agree. This looks ugly!! Where’s the vegetation? Where’s the pool or stream? Where’s all the naturalism. This isn’t what I was expecting. Also those animals need WAY more space than this cheap exhibit.

@John Marchwick I don't think the lack of water or vegetation makes it a cheap exhibit. As I've said before the photo makes it look smaller and "shallower" than it is, I found no issue with the amount of space here.
