Faces of the Rainforest: Chilean Flamingo enclosure. November 30, 2018. The zoo's flock has been significantly reduced and are no longer mixed with waterfowl.

Those black metal poles are a significant barrier when one considers that the majority of flamingo exhibits have practically zero barriers whatsoever.

@snowleopard Well this is an aviary instead of just a pool. I'm assuming the purpose of this is so the birds do not need to be clipped so they don't fly away.

@John Marchwick Chilean Flamingos? I've always known them to be a winter hardy species.
