She is indeed the only individual outside of her native range, and she arrived as an adult in the 80's!

@ThylacineAlive @Erythrogaster Do either of you know any more about the circumstances of her arrival? Such as where she came from, and if there were others at the time? I’m also curious how she came to be the only one in captivity- were there once others at other facilities?

It’s so much fun learning more about the animals- makes me appreciate them even more!

She came with three others from the wild. As far as I’m aware no other zoo has kept them.

no she came with one other female in 1991 from the Tongan Government.

@jayjds2 Yeah I heard the same as @Erythrogaster, only one other female arrived with her.
