New Meerkat house, December 2018

The new habitat seems to be finished now. Unless you have the skills of gentle lemur, I think it'll be well nigh impossible to take a photo through this window which just acts as a mirror. Inside there is a sandy base with plants and fake rocks. It looks attractive and no doubt the meerkats will enjoy it. The outdoor enclosure includes a fake rock cave with an overhead heater. The tunnel for children to go through and pop their heads up in plastic domes has been reopened. I couldn't actually see any meerkats but didn't have time to see if they were still in situ in their old enclosure.
