White Cheeked Gibbon Exhibit

Can I ask for some more information about this exhibit and how it works?
It would appear to be a walk-through? - but for a Category A dangerous species which requires two separation barriers under UK law...
 
@Andrew Swales Judging by the following two photographs taken by @Crowthorne shortly after the exhibit opened, the exhibit is viewed through a window - the glass is merely invisible in this particular shot. Conversely, the photographs below have visible reflections in the glass:

Thank you TLD. That certainly explains it. Their keeper should be proud of some squeaky clean glass in the the latest photo - it is gin clear! The camera angle and low sun level help too, I think.
 
This is such a weird design. Was it built specifically for the gibbons or is it a repurposed walk-through aviary? It seems so strange to have an unusable walkway inside the enclosure behind a viewng window.

No, it was never a walk-through aviary.

The gibbon exhibit was built on the site of what was originally a run of cages for wild dogs.
