Tamaulipas Crow- Corvus imparatus

Does this species still occur in Brownsville, or is that population extirpated?

@birdsandbats I was told they still rarely come up to the Brownsville landfill, but are no longer reliable. The last report of one there was in June of 2018. I don't believe they were extirpated, but rather just gradually left/didn't return for whatever reasons, similarly to the Brown Jays that used to be spotted in the West of the Rio Grande Valley.

@d1am0ndback I didn't realize the Brown Jays were gone, too. That's a shame, I've always wanted to see that species. Guess I've got to get to Mexico to see them.

@birdsandbats The species has been rather hit and miss the last few years down in the Brownsville area. Last year saw a surprising influx after several rare/absent years, but they have since vanished again.
