Wild-Type Budgerigar

Budgerigar. September 19, 2018. Genuine wild-type birds from Australia itself. Evidently these are significantly harder to maintain than the common domestic variety.

@birdsandbats There are a good few zoos with them in Europe. According to ztl Cologne, Frankfurt, Vogelpark Herborn, and Loro Parque also currently keep wild-type Budgies. I first saw them at Bristol Zoo in 2016, though they went out of them in 2017.

Does anyone know where the Zoo in Bristol got the Budgies from? The Hamerton Zoo said that the budgies have been imported from a German zoo. I would like to know which German zoo. Does anyone know anything accurate or can tell who knows more?
Unfortunately, the zoo in Bristol does not respond.

@BushBudgie So turns out Cologne Zoo in Germany imported them directly from Australia. They then sent some animals to Bristol, but when Bristol phased them out the entire flock was sent to Hamerton.
