No fake logs adorning the walls? No pop-up bubbles inside the tanks? No interpretative graphics in glossy, colourful letters? No immersive rock-work poking out from the ceiling? It's obviously not necessary to have such ornamental additions, but for a major zoo to have such a sterile, bleak-looking aquarium (at least from this single photo) is truly a surprise. German minimalism at its best? Hopefully there is a choice selection of species for the zoo enthusiast, which would perhaps make up for the blank walls that belong in a dental office.
