Australian Golden Orb-Weaver

I remember an odd exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo that had a massive orb weaver web with no glass whatsoever.

We get a lot of these in our backyard.

They are very prolific web builders - it's very annoying walking to the car only to get a face-full of spider web. What's worse, they will have already started rebuilding it by the time you get back 15 minutes later and so get it again!

Their webs really are quite spectacular in the sunlight though!
