Common Ground Dove (Columbina passerina pallescens?)

Taken in South Texas near Weslaco. The pallescens subspecies is supposed to be paler than the nominate spread across the Eastern US, and this individual certainly is paler than other common ground doves in the Eastern US, but I am still not certain due to not enough range info.
