Beautiful image! I haven't seen this species that often in zoological collections. This is Asiatic golden cat I assume.

Yes, asian. The african golden cat is one of my dream species. The park in its new expansion of the golden cat trail has a little hut with very nice graphics, including a comparison of the african and asian golden cats.

There is a new african golden cat at a native wildlife center in Gabon and I actually looked into flying there from Paris, but just too expensive and logistically difficult.

Yes it was in with the mother.

Thanks. There are no golden cats in USA and relatively few in Europe, so seeing one of any kind is a treat. But when I saw the sign that there was a kitten, I was absolutely thrilled!

A very great photo! A species even rare in the zoos of its native range! And a cub is far more precious, since this species is so hard to breed!
