Silvereye

This should be the Grey-breasted ( Eastern ) silvereye ( Zosterops lateralis ), right ?

@vogelcommando - there's only one Silvereye (Zosterops lateralis), the others in the genus are all called white-eyes.

Thanks Chlidonias but I've a bird-guide of Australian birds in which Z. lutea and Z. citrinella ( Yellow and Pale white-eye ) are also called Silvereyes...

@vogelcommando - which guide is that? I don't think you'd find any birder in Australia calling the other species Silvereyes.

The latest book - The Australian Bird Guide by Menkhorst, Rogers, Clarke, Davies, Marsack & Franklin - refers to it just as the Silvereye, and all the others are White-eyes. But it used to be called the Eastern Silvereye. Never heard it called Grey-breasted though; possibly an old name.
