@Wyman I know were just talking hypothetically at this point but do you think that bats and hornbills could actually exist with great apes? After all I can't personally think of any example where a primate has successfully been exhibited with a flying creature (aka a bat or bird)
 
@Hipporex I have read of various bird/tamarin exhibits that were successful, although they do frequently eat each other's food. I remember seeing Great Curassow mixed with either howler monkeys or spider monkeys at San Francisco Zoo several years ago.
As far as great apes go, I'm not sure. You could probably exhibit some birds with gorillas and orangs, if you had an enclosed exhibit. Chimps would probably not be a good choice, as they do sometimes choose to be carnivorous.
 
Someone here mentioned tapirs, but I haven't seen them at the zoo in months. Have they been moved elsewhere, or have I just visited at the wrong time?
