@Jambo I’d definately agree that looks like Bessie.
The juvenile looks to be around 6-7 years:
I’d guess if the photo was taken around 1986, it’s Cara. Bessie’s daughter, Chiki, gave birth to her second infant, Cheena, in 1985 so Cara may have latched onto her grandmother with her mother preoccupied with a new infant.
If the photo was taken around 1982 (1983 at a stretch), I’d say it’s Bessie’s daughter, Belle (born 1975).
@Zoofan15 , the infant definitely looks like a 5 year old, or even older. I would say this might be Cara and Bessie, but it might also be Bessie and Belle. Looking at the infant, however, it looks a lot like Cara (from picture comparisons), so you may be right in saying, after Chiki gave birth to Cheena, Cara latched onto Bessie.
@Jambo I think the juvenile is around 7 years old as their isn’t much pink pigmentation around the face. Cara is a small chimpanzee so at age 7, probably was around the size of the average 5 year old chimp.
