@ralph Oh really? The sign said Chilean and the Chilean was in this enclosure last year. But that explains why the Greater flamingo enclosure was empty, I guess they put both species in the same enclosure then.
@Daniel Sörensen I the linked image it looks like there are both greater and Chilean flamingos in the exhibit.
A little strange that they put them in the same exhibit to be honest, also given the fact that the greater flamingo group from Walsrode is supposed to be transferred to GaiaZoo in the Netherlands pretty soon.
@Daniel Sörensen From what I understand, yes, they are moving the entire greater flamingo group (400 animals, apparently) to GaiaZoo, where a very large aviary is being built for them.
