Anole species.

Taken at Manatus Lodge, Tortuguero - Mar 2019
I will look in my guide for Costa Rican herpetofauna to see if I can identify both the anole and the frog.

Thanks AWP - that would be great.

I've ordered the amphibians of CR field guide, and also the reptile one (not out till Aug!!), but any help in the meantime would be greatly appreciated!

The next pic I upload from CR will be an insect larva - not sure how we are going to deal with that one!!

None of the pictured anoles in my guide really matches the one you photographed, but I am quite sure it is a ghost anole (Norops lemurinus). This species has a great varation in coloration with several types of dorsal patterns. Looking at Google Images, some photos show the dorsal marking similair to that of your anole.

Thanks AWP. I was thinking Ghost or maybe Slender Anole.

Appreciate the effort here......
