There are indeed plans to move the manatees to River Safari once it opens in 2012. The enclosure may be given an overhaul after that.

I think there are 6 manatees at the moment (including a new-born).

As far as i can see. this is a brilliant exhibit. but maybe phoenix is trying to saw its a lousy enclosure? astheically its great. and the animals found in it are very interesting.

@Zooish What is the state of this exhibit in 2019? Does it still hold sea lions, penguins, and pelicans now that the manatees have moved over to River Safari?
