White-winged tanager - Piranga leucoptera

May 11 2019
Reminds me a lot of Flame-colored Tanager (Piranga bidentata), but I don't think it's that species.

Had several ideas about this species ( finch - weaver ) but also tanager was on the list. By checking the genus Piranga ( thanks to your hint ) I think it could be well the White-lwinged tanager - Piranga leucoptera. Its housed in one of the indoor-aviaries of Nuboso - which mainly holds neotropical species. Thanks again Great Argus !

Thanks lintworm, actually I wanted to check it on ZTL but something else can in between and then I forgot it ...

A species not to rare in European aviculture, still surprised not more species show up at the various birdparks around Europe.
