New Wattled crane sign, May 2019

These new signs are depressingly dull. It's not just the abuse of the apostrophe, here, but the whole look of them gives the impression that they were knocked up by someone with a spare half hour on their hands.

But at risk of outing myself as someone who needs to grow up and takes things more seriously, I applaud the zoo's retention of Bugeranus as the genus here, rather than moving it into Grus. One fo my favourite genus names, obviously....
