Variable Harlequin Toad (Atelopus varius) at Manchester Museum Vivarium - 19/04/2019

I didn't know this species was kept in Europe! Is it kept in the Vivarium or in a off-show section?

@AWP They are kept behind-the-scenes in the Vivarium, but are visible through a viewing window into the off-show breeding area.

@TeaLovingDave Last week there was a small vivarium with 2 specimens (I think) directly in front of this window for public viewing - but they were well hidden, as I said before. When I visited 18 months ago, this position was occupied by an aquarium with lemur leaf frog tadpoles.

@gentle lemur

When I visited the tank of tadpoles was still present; the animal in this shot was in the nearest vivarium to the window on the upper left.
