Wow. I've seen them many years ago at Howletts, but I think, all of them died now, so probably there is just one animal left at the Paris Mengagerie Jardin du Plantes, if I'm correct.
Yes, there was a male giant panda “Yen-Yen” at Vincennes Zoo, Paris, from 1973 until 2000. This animal always seemed to be much more active than most of the giant pandas that I’ve seen in other zoos.

ohh, im sorry. i cant remember where i found out that infomation, but it made it quite specific that only those 3 zoo's were given them, and they were more of a 'gift' to each of the zoo's.
